Te Akau
Te Akau is a beach break on a sandy beach with some rocks, located north of Raglan. There are several peaks along the beach to choose from with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and powerful. Good for intermediate to expert surfers.

Te Akau is located on the west coast of Waikato, not far north of Raglan.
From Hamilton head north west on Avalon Drive Bypass, State Highway 1. At Ngaruawahia turn left onto Princess Street, then right onto Herschel Street, then left onto Waingaro Road. Continue onto State Highway 22, heading west, through Glen Massey. Turn left onto Te Akau Road, then continue onto Te Akau Coast Road and take the next left onto the gravel road which will wind its way out to the beach.
