Lake Ferry
Lake Ferry is a shingle beach with an A frame peak at the mouth from Lake Onoke. Best on a higher tide, It produces a sucky, gnarly barrel, with a hollow take off. Both left and right handers on offer. Advanced to Expert surfs only. Is a fairly in-consistant break, so check the reports and pick your day.

From Featherston drive east on State Highway 53, then turn right onto Kahutara Road and take it to the end. Turn right onto Lake Ferry Road and drive to the end. parkup near the Lake Ferry Hotel.
From Wellington take State Highway 2 north, out throught Upper Hutt, along to Featherston. Then follow directions from Featherston. Approx 90mins from Wellington to Lake Ferry.
From Masterton take State Highway 2 south, through Carterton and Greytown, along to Featherston. Then follow directions from Featherston. Approx 60mins from Masterton to Lake Ferry.
