Taylors Mistake
Taylors Mistake is a very popular beach in Christchurch and home to some of the best surf in the city. Taylors Mistake is a beach break on a sandy beach with both right and left-handers on offer. There can be an awesome right-hander off the rocks at the eastern end of the beach, and also on a good swell, there can be a fun left-hander at the western end of the beach. Taylors can produce a really powerful wave, with heaps of speed off the drop and barrels when offshore. Suitable for all surfers. Taylors Mistake is very popular during the summer months and can become crowded, so know the rules, respect the locals and watch out for swimmers.
