Raupo is a sand, Beach break out on Banks Peninsula. It gets the north to north east swell, producing several peaks across the bay. Can get hollow on a lower tide.

Directions
From Christchurch head toward Akaroa on State Highway 75. Either take the summit road from the Hill Top Tavern or carry on down to Duvauchelle and take the turn off to Little Akaloa, then take Little Akaloa Road down to Little Akaloa. At Little Akaloa turn right and head along Chorlton Road. Take the next left on to Long Lookout Road and first right. Park at the end of the road and continue the journey on foot for 20-30mins. Be sure to take whatever you take in out. No camping, fires or Toilet, so be prepared.
