Weld Road is a beach break on a sandy beach with stoney/boulder areas down the beach and some rocks out in the surf break. There are both right and left handers to choose from. Weld Road is a good fun wave, and good for longboards. Suitable for all surfers.

From New Plymouth head south west on Devon Street West, then onto South Road, The surf Highway, State Highway 45. Continue through Oakura, turn right onto Weld Road, down to the end of the road.
