Newdicks
Newdicks is a beach break on a sandy/rocky beach, located on the east side of the point from Maketu. There are several peaks along the beach to choose from, with both right and left handers. The wave is punchy and powerful with steep drop ins and hollow sections. There are some rocks to wtchout for. Good for intermediate to expert surfers. Private access to beach, you must pay at the honesty box.

Directions
From Tauranga City, head south east on Mt Maunganui Road, onto State Highway 2. near the papamoa turn off, veer right onto Tauranga East Road, State Highway 2, heading south. Continue through Te Puke, then turn left onto Te Tumu Road and right onto maketu Road. At Maketu turn left onto Beach Road, then continue onto Town Point Road and right onto Newdick Road/Newdicks beach Road. Private access to beach, you must pay at the honesty box.
